These are the people who will make it worse for everyone when child support will become harder for people with a legitimate need to get or there will be a voucher system for food and education and stuff in place of cash payments that is inadequate so actual struggling single parents will have to jump through bureaucratic hoops and let’s not forget that somewhere someone is working their ass off to pay for this shit whether it’s the other parent or all of us via the state.

Fuck these people!
I hope they end up disabled and have their child similarly abandon any duty of care leaving them used and destitute as it’s what they deserve if they think this shit is what child support payments are for.

This. I grew up in a household where my father was paying child support to a woman who had remarried and used the majority of the money to buy herself things. Then, when the money ran out and my siblings needed braces and the like, she came after my father for even more money. The tragic part is my father(and my mother) fought for custody numerous times over the years, but were continually denied because the ex checked herself out of a mental hospital to come dispute the case. She won every fucking time.

I could go on, but I’d rather not put too much of my personal life out there. Just, yeah, people like this really shouldn’t be allowed to get what they get.

It’s unfortunate that so many people have to fight for benefits and jump through hoops for things they truly do need, but would you rather there were more people out there exploiting the system like this?
